Hatha Yoga (Sanskrit हठयोग) is a system of physical and mental practices to unite the body and mind by control and coordination of subtle forces in the body. It keeps the body free from disease and premature decay, allowing one to focus on control of the mind and senses needed to achieve Self-realization.

While most people are familiar with Asana (physical postures), there are seven elements in Hatha Yoga: Shat Karams (Cleansings), Asanas (Physical Exercise), Mudras and Bandhs (Subtle movements and locks), Pranayamas (Breath Control), Pratyahara (Discipline of Senses), Dhayana (Meditation) and Samadhi (Self-realization).

While Yog Sadhan Ashram offers classes and workshops on all 7 limbs, our daily “Hatha Yoga Classes” include only Asana, Pranayama, and Dhyana, as these are most suited for group practice.

You can join our classes on weekdays from 6:15pm to 7:15pm, Saturdays 8:30am – 9:30am and Sundays 8:00am to 9:30am.
