Dharma is a concept of central importance in philosophy and religion.  It has multiple meanings. It is difficult to provide a single concise definition for Dharma, as the word has a long and varied history. There is no equivalent single word translation for Dharma in English language.  Yog Sadhan Ashram is offering a workshop on the topic of Dharma on Saturday, April 2 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A simple, vegetarian lunch will be provided.

The workshop will be conducted by Acharya Hersh Ji, the Director of Yog Sadhan Ashram.  In this retreat, we will cover in detail the definition, meaning and types of Dharma.  Please come with questions.

Therapeutic yoga is particularly effective for those recovering from, or living with, injury or illness. It blends restorative yoga (supported postures), breathwork, hands-on-adjustments, and guided meditation techniques. It is an excellent choice for those who need something gentle yet effective for bringing the body into balance and reducing stress.

Due to popular demand for this type of asana class, we will begin offering a therapeutic yoga class series taught by Neeta Mohanty. Class will be held for 6 Saturdays beginning October 13th from 10:00am to 11:15am. Due to the hands-on nature of the class, it is limited to 12 students, and enrollment is required. We will offer this series again in 2013.

Our annual celebration of Vyas Puja, or Guru Puja, took place on July 14th and 15th, 2012.  Over 100 people came to read from Satguru Ji’s Ramayan over the 24 hour period, giving us knowledge and peace as we all strive to live a more yogic life. Below are some videos from the auspicious weekend:
