Pratyahar is one the least talked about and least understood elements of the eight part Ashtanga Yoga, yet it is a must to completely comprehend it for a serious student as well as a casual Yoga follower. The technical definition of Pratyahar is “withdrawal of the senses” and it is the bridge between the Physical and Non-physical aspect of complete Yoga.

 

The workshop will present this critical element in a new light so that it becomes easy to understand for a new student as well as advanced student of Yoga. The attendee will be able to implement its features in daily life in a practical manner.

 

The presentation is divided in four parts: Introduction, Definitions, Features, and Practice with Q&A throughout the day. Light vegetarian lunch and take home handouts will be provided.

11:00 – 11:45: Definitions
11:45 – 12:15: Light vegetarian lunch
12:15pm – 1:00: Features
1:00 – 1:15: Break
1:15 – 2:00: Practice

Cost: $35 suggested offering. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. YSA is a 501(c)3 organization, and offerings are deductible to the extent allowed by law.
